    I just purchased a new Scott’s 18in Reel Mower…
Do I need to purchase a sharpening kit and sharpen the blades or are the ready to cut out of the box (haven’t assembled it yet)?
    Thanks for the feedback.

Hi, We have sod that looks like it came from 2 different places. The lawn has very distinct colour changes where one patch of sod was layed vs another. One area is a lighter green vs a darker green. Is there a way to blend these so it all looks the same. Thanks very much, Steve

My lawn has what I’m pretty sure is Necrotic Ring Spot, from what I can tell by looking at different websites and pictures. We are planning on getting rid of this diseased lawn, along with other changes we are making to our landscape. My question is, will I get rid of the problem by taking up the old lawn or is the problem in the soil as well, so that when I lay down new sod will the problem continue? And if so, what can I do to get rid the problem before I lay down the new sod?

BACK YARD APPROX. 40 DEGREES SLOOP. AFTER 11 YEARS, REPLACED CROWN VETCH WITH PRENNIAL RYE AND TALL FESCUE. YARD IS TOO STEEP TO USE A MOWER. I KNOW I CAN USE A WEED WACKER BUT AT MY AGE IT’S TOO RISKY. CAN I JUST LET THE GRASS GROW, WHICH IS ALREADY LONG. APPERANCE IS NOT A PROBLEM SINCE I LIVE ON A BLUFF ON THE MISSISSIPPI RIVER. THANKS FOR YOUR HELP.

We have a relatively small lawn that has been well cared for. Unfortuneately we have just been “invaded” by some “night time critter”. This animal(s) have dug up many areas of the lawn and seem to be looking for something under the grass. We have also have seen urine patches and “small dog like droppings” on a couple of occasions. Any advice / comments would be appreciated.
    Thank you. Alan Harris.
