7 Best Gardening Tool Sets
Whether you’re A) looking for the perfect gift for a friend or family member that loves to garden, B) looking into taking up gardening yourself and want to get a nice starter set to help you get prepared for your first growing season, or C), a seasoned gardener looking into replacing your old, familiar, but rusty garden tools, you have come to the right place. We scoured the web researching tons of different gardening tool sets to see what different brands were offering and discover the best tool sets on the market.
After much deliberation, these seven garden tool sets rose to the top of our lists. Some of them made the list because they make high-quality tools. Some made it because they include a diverse array of tools that are not available in other sets. Other sets made the cut because they offer high-quality products at a very affordable price. If you are looking into investing in a garden tool set, these are, without question, the best sets you are going to find. Â
Tacklife 7 Piece Garden Tool Set
Find it on Amazon. https://amzn.to/3nm4bWc
This simple set includes six tools and a smart carry bag to tote them around in. The usual suspects, hand trowel, transplanting trowel, and cultivator are all present. The set also includes bypass pruning shears, a soil scoop, and a weeder tool. The tools are made out of heavy duty stainless steel featuring plastic handles with a rubberized grip for comfortable handling. The tote bag is made from a blend of heavy cotton and polyester materials for a durable carrying case that can be washed whenever necessary. The tacklife set makes the list because the products are made from heavy-duty materials and with the proper care, high-quality tools last a long time. This is a basic set, but it is a durable set, and it won’t set you back too much either. The black and orange design is pretty sharp looking as well. Â
Argos – The Challenge 5 Piece Garden Tool Set
https://www.argos.co.uk/product/6086932
There are few garden tools on the market that are cost efficient and still give you the kind of value that you will get from this 5 piece long-handled tool set from Argos. These tools are made from high-quality, lightweight, carbon steel with polypropylene handles. The set includes five full sized tools: garden spade, pitchfork, metal-forked rake, garden hoe, and an edger, all of which are strong, well-built, and meant to last for years and years. I like having two rakes in my tool arsenal, one with sturdy metal forks, and another with plastic, or aluminum forks, which allow for more movement between the blades. This set has everything I would need aside from a cheap plastic rake, which I can easily purchase separately to complete my long-handled tool arsenal. That’s not bad at all. Plus, you can get all five of these full-sized garden shed tools for an affordable price.Â
UKOKE 12 Piece Aluminum Hand Tool Set

This massive set is for serious gardeners only, and it contains everything you need to keep your garden looking and functioning well for many years. The set includes the SK-5 carbon steel pruning shears, a stainless steel snip tool, 5 aluminum steel hand tools (trowel, cultivator, hand rake, weeder and transplanter), a plastic spray bottle for misting plants, a waterproof polyester gardening apron with PVC coating and front pockets to carry your tools in while working, one pair of thick, durable, Garden Genie gloves (which feature claws on one hand for easy digging), one waterproof garden kneeling pad to take pressure off your knees and back while tending your garden, and a polyester and PVC tote bag to carry everything in when transporting. The folks at UKOKE truly thought of everything when they assembled this set. All 12 of these items can be purchased affordably.
Finnhomy 8 Piece Garden Tool Set
Find it on Amazon. https://amzn.to/3qLzQCP
Finnhomy’s 8 piece set is a great starter kit for beginning gardeners. It comes with durable work gloves, pruning shears made with high-quality hardened steel blades, five aluminum steel hand tools with ergonomic soft touch handles (trowel, cultivator, transplanter, fork, and weeder), and a handy tote bag for transporting your tools. From the reviews, you can tell that these are high quality tools. The work gloves are standard gardening gloves that will serve you well for one or two seasons, but will eventually need to be replaced. The tote bag is the only item in the set that isn’t very well made, and some reviewers were quick to point that out. Still, the tools are the most important part of a tool set, and these are very well made. This set is a steal.Â
JUMPHIGH 9 Piece Garden Tool Set
Find it on Amazon. https://amzn.to/3qLKRE4
The JUMPHIGH set is similar to the Finnhomy, AONI, UKOKE, and Tacklife sets, all of which feature high-quality, heavy-duty garden tools made of aluminum and rubber/plastic, a pair of pruning shears made with stainless steel blades, gardening gloves, and a tote bag. Some have a spray bottle, or a few extras, like an apron or kneeling pad, but these sets are all about the tools included. This set is no different, but one thing that sets it apart is that it features Garden Genie gloves, like the UKOKE set, which have a set of wolverine-like claws on one hand, which are great for hand digging, especially in raised beds, which are less compacted than ground soil. The JUMPMAN set also features a plastic spray bottle, convenient for providing a humid environment for your tropical plants. The set also features a trowel, cultivator, transplanter, hand rake, weeder, pruning shears, and an organizer bag to tote it all around in. It is a great value. Â
AONI 9 Piece Heavy Duty Garden Tool Set
Find it on Amazon. https://amzn.to/2W4T3kL
The AONI 9 piece set features a pruner, cultivator, transplanter, trowel, hand rake, weeder, spray bottle, work gloves, and a traveler’s tote to transport the tools around in. The set, aside from the water bottle, is all silver and gray, which makes it quite handsome to look at. All of the tools are made from high-quality, heavy-duty, rust-resistant aluminum, aside from the pruners, which are made with manganese steel blades. The ergonomic handles are durable and lightweight. The work gloves, spray bottle, and tote are all standard looking. The thing that sets this tool set apart is the silver and gray design more than anything else. With a slightly higher price tag, that may not be enough to place this set above its competitors.Â
eBoot 13 Piece Succulent Tool Set
Find it on Amazon. https://amzn.to/3n4D6a5
The eBoot 13 piece set is different from every other tool set on this list. It is designed for indoor plant care, not outdoor gardening, so the tools don’t need to be especially heavy-duty, as they won’t see the wear and tear that the outdoor tools will. If you have an indoor garden and you like collecting and displaying succulents, cacti, and air plants, this is the perfect set for you. The set includes a small shovel, rake, and spade set, all three of which are made of iron with wooden handles, plastic seedling and dual-use transplanting tools for handling seedlings, a water bottle with a snout for watering hard to reach places, an air dust-blower for blowing away surface dust, two different types of tweezers, a bucket shovel, and a cleaning brush. Get all 13 pieces for a very inexpensive price. The price may surprise you, but these are not high-quality tools, just small, simple tools that are perfect for indoor succulent care. These tools are not made to last forever, but at this price, who cares?
